A spreadsheet isn't a product.
A buyer weighing Mexico for nearshoring needs to know who makes what, and where, before they can call anyone. I wanted one place to find that: Thomasnet, built for Mexico.
What I had was a third-party dataset. Its categories were in Spanish, its company names in inconsistent capitals, and its phone, email and website fields were filled in on some rows and not on others. The work was turning that into something a buyer abroad could use.
The product
A working product, not a prototype.
Search and filter by category, state, company size and contact details, then open a profile for each company. Category counts update with the other filters, so you can see what a choice leaves before you make it.
Behind the screens are a Postgres database, server-side search and paging, accounts with saved companies, and landing pages for each category and state.
